A Day at Honeywood House

8am We gently ease into each day with tea in bed and time to chat.

9am We wash and dress for the day ahead.

9.30am Some of our residents like to breakfast in their own suites. For others, tables are set and we breakfast together in our dining room.

10.30am Tea or coffee and home baking. Newspapers, music. Time for residents and staff to get together for chit chat and catch up.

11am Our physiotherapist comes some days, hairdresser on others, chiropodist, healing therapists are by appointment.

Noon Our sherry time before lunch which is often served in our conservatory overlooking the gardens.

12.30pm Lunch time at Honeywood House is served in our dining room. All meals are freshly prepared by our own chef using local recipes.

(We are pleased to invite and encourage friends and relatives to lunch, please call us in advance and let us know you'll be joining your family or friend for lunch or afternoon tea). Sherry is served daily at Noon, so don't be late! A contribution to lunch is most welcome).

1.30pm Time for leisure and for family, friends and guests to visit.

3.00pm Afternoon tea and cakes (In the fine weather we often take this outdoors or it is served in our conservatory and residents lounge).

4.00pm Pamper time and a visit to the gardens (weather permitting).

6.00pm Supper time, in your own room or in our residents’ lounge or conservatory

7.00pm TV time, relaxation and assistance to bed as required

8.00pm Late evening drinks in your own room

Thursday lunch: Cod with mushroom sauce, rice pud
Supper: Spaghetti bolognaise, strawberry dessert

Friday Lunch: Roast chicken, Lemon meringue pie
Supper: Homemade fish cakes, ice cream & fruit sauce

Saturday Lunch: Roast pork& apple sauce, Raspberry mouse
Supper: Salmon & broccoli quiche, fresh fruit salad

Our menus change weekly and are reviewed monthly. Full menu available on request.
We are pleased to cater for individual dietary requirements. Diabetes, wheat allergy etc. Please advise us of your special requirements. And if you have special treats, we'll shop for them too.
